Blair City Council Meeting Recap

Blair City Council Meeting Recap
August 14th, 2024 | Connie Green

Creating an Inland Port Authority within the boundaries of the City of Blair would help the area in encouraging transportation coordination, especially for the industrial areas of the town near the River, and open up potential grants for improvements. Only five such designations are permitted for Nebraska – currently four are spoken for – and they include North Platte, Bellevue, North Omaha, and Fremont. If approved by the state, Blair would take the remaining open position. Applying for the opening was approved by the Blair City Council at Tuesday night’s meeting.
