The Bancroft-Rosalie Football Team won 70-22 at home over Winside Friday night.
Jeff’s Game Recap:
The Panthers led 38-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and outscored the Wildcats 18-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 56-8 lead into the locker room. Winside won the 3rd quarter 14-8 to make it a 64-22 game at the end of three. Bancroft-Rosalie added 6 points in the 4th quarter. Graysen Briggs had 189 yards rushing on 16 carries, including a touchdown. Jaxson Wegner added 56 yards rushing on 5 carries and a score. Nick Buchholz was 7-9 passing for 107 yards and 4 touchdowns. Braylon Wegner hauled in 5 passes for 66 yards, including three scores. Ayden Dolezal made 17 tackles while Lucas Engel had 7. The Panthers had 364 yards of total offense, including 257 on the ground.
Jeff’s Lyons-Decatur Northeast Preview:
Bancroft-Rosalie (6-0) hosts Lyons-Decatur Northeast (3-3) Friday night in action that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull. The Cougars won 63-6 at home over Randolph last week. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. with pregame at 6:30 on the Bull.
Jeff’s Take on the Game:
This is going to be a great game. Things could go either way honestly. It’s a rivalry game and I must say I don’t know what to expect in this one. Lots could happen in this game as it is too tough and close to call. Something tells me the Panthers win a close game, but you just don’t know. LDNE is much improved, but at the same time Bancroft-Rosalie is having a great season so it should be a great game that comes down to the wire.
