Leroy was a diligent student at Monterey Elementary School and Mount Michael High School and went on to study Mechanized Agriculture at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he honed his lifelong passion for farming. After graduation, he went back home to the family farm to work alongside his brother, Paul.
