Papio NRD & Nebraska Loess Hills RC&D Council Free Electronic Waste Recycling Collections
Papio NRD and Nebraska Loess Hills RC&D Council have four free electronic waste recycling collections coming up! These free collections will accept computers, televisions of all sizes, office equipment, audio-visual equipment, radios and small electronic devices from residents and most businesses in Washington, Burt, Thurston & Dakota counties. These collections are held at NRD/USDA Service centers, rain or shine.
1. Tekamah collection is Tuesday, May 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
2. Blair collection is Tuesday, May 21st from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
3. Walthill collection is Thursday, May 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
4. Dakota City is Thursday, May 23rd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
These collections will NOT accept large appliances, microwaves, dehumidifiers, refrigerators or freezers of any size. Waste will not be accepted from computer or electronic repair or retail businesses. Funding for these free e-waste recycling collections is provided through a grant from the Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy.
