Tekamah farmer looks ahead to growing season now that planting is complete | 2022 Fridays in the Field | Ep. 7

June 17th, 2022

Susan Littlefield recently visited with Quentin Connealy for updates on his farm near Tekamah, Nebraska.

Because his farm is located near the Missouri River, he has several different soil types that impact the way he plants crops.

“There is a lot of down pressure we have to watch getting into the soft areas and with the different soils,” he said.

Connealy also shared some of his goals for this growing season.

For this crop season, Connealy said he is looking forward to using moisture probes to track the water usage on his fields and adding different mixes of fertilizer for his crops.

In this year’s season of Friday’s in the Field, Susan Littlefield will follow along with Connealy to learn more about his operation.
