Panhandle battles dry conditions, planting continues | 2022 Fridays in the Field | Ep. 3

May 20th, 2022

Roland Rushman of Rushman Seeds in Dalton, Nebraska has a diverse crop operation.

On his irrigated ground, he primarily grows wheat, corn and dry edible beans. On his dryland ground, Rushman grows wheat, corn, millet and peas.

Rushman said his geographical location gives him an advantage by allowing him to plant different crops than the traditional corn-soybean rotation.

In this year’s season of Fridays in the Field, Chabella Guzman will follow along with Rusman to learn more about his operation.
