April 14th, 2021 | Susan Littlefield

Kathy Abrahamson is from Axtell, NE and she farms with her husband, Jon, and son, Whatt.

Kathy is in charge of planting and harvesting, and Jon said she has many roles on the farm including running the combine at harvest, marketing all of the grain and managing paperwork. She and her son also raise miniature cattle together.

Jon said in his nomination of Kathy:  We raise corn & soybeans.  Our son has miniature cattle. They have wanted them for many years & so it’s a great project for them.  Whatt runs the grain cart & used his money to help buy into the miniature cattle operation.  She has a strong role in the farm from pre-plant through harvest.  We keep her busy during the day & she is a night owl.  She is the Team Mates coordinator for our community.  She works a lot at the church volunteering.  Jon said the one thing that makes him proud of his wife is she is always there to lend a hand.   Whatt said she is always there to help me, if I am struggling she helps me figure it out.
