This week for Washington Wednesday we caught up with Nebraska US Senator Pete Ricketts. There had been a lot of happenings in the month of April Senator Ricketts covered the Biden Administrations EV Mandates requiring nearly two-thirds of all vehicles sold to be EV’s.

He also spoke on the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act more commonly known as “The Tik Tok Ban”. Ricketts emphasized that it was not a ban but rather a ban on the Chinese Communist Party’s ownership over the app and others like it.

In good news for the agricultural sector he spoke on the recent EPA announcement providing a nationwide waiver to sell E-15 gasoline past the May 1st cutoff. The initial waiver only extends the cutoff to May 20th and extensions will need to be signed to continue it through the entirety of the summer like it has been the past two years.
