North Platte NRD collaborates on project to grow heritage fruit trees

Nebraska, especially western Nebraska, historically had very few trees. So settlers brought the trees with them when they moved to the area.

A collaborative project at the North Platte Natural Resources District in Scottsbluff is working with a local farmer to save and grow some of those heritage fruit trees.
