Nichols returns to rural roots as central Nebraska ag broadcaster for Rural Radio Network

Miller, Nebraska native Karla Nichols is returning to her rural roots as an agricultural broadcaster with Rural Radio Network affiliate KBEAR 92.3.  

In her new position, Nichols will cover local and regional events, sharing the information on KBEAR 92.3 and on the Rural Radio Network.  

Nichols graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln this spring with her degree in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communications. During her time in college, Nichols completed an internship with the Rural Radio Network based out of the Nebraska Soybean Board Studios at Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln. 

“I am excited to start my career close to home while continuing work for the company that helped me discover my talents and passions within communications,” Nichols said.   

Nichols grew up on a farming and ranching operation in central Nebraska where her passion for agriculture began. She graduated from Ansley Public Schools in 2020. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her friends and family in her spare time.
