The Beef Promotion Operating Committee meeting was held in Denver September 4-5, with two Nebraskans serving on the committee representing both the Federation of State Beef Councils and the Cattlemen’s Beef Board.
Dave Hamilton, former NBC Chairman and current CBB director, and Mark Goes, NBC board member, were part of the 20-person producer group who listened to proposals from national contractors and made the funding decisions on national programs funded by the beef checkoff.
Both Hamilton and Goes were interviewed and selected for this national position.
