August 13th, 2023 | Alex Makovicka

The onset of August means summer is winding down and school is about to begin for many students.

Jessie Lamp was the summer intern for the Rural Radio Network. Her internship was based out of the Nebraska Soybean Board Studios at Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln.

The Rural Radio Network internships are designed to be hands-on for students to take ownership of their experiences and projects. Lamp’s internship included audio, video and digital learning experiences. Some of her tasks included the filming and production of Fridays in the Field, interviewing industry professionals, and creating 4-H spotlights.

Lamp will be a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this fall majoring in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communication.

Applications for summer internships will open in the spring of 2024.
