A University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL) student was among eight scholarship recipients during the annual NAFB (National Association of Farm Broadcasting) Foundation luncheon.
Madison Kreifels, a junior at UNL, received the Robert E. and Patricia A Schmidt Foundation Scholarship, worth $10,000.
Kreifels is studying Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communication with Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program minor.

Since 1977, the NAFB Foundation has provided financial support and educational opportunities in the form of college scholarships to assist students in pursuit of careers in agricultural communications. More than $545,750 in scholarships have been awarded.
In 2023, the NAFB Foundation is offered seven $7,500 college scholarships and one $10,000 scholarship.
