Hastings man formally charged in Landmark Implement fire

    A 30-year-old Hastings man has been charged with Second Degree Arson and Felony Criminal Mischief in connection with the July 13, 2022 fire to a large building at Landmark Implement in Hastings.  Landmark is a John Deere implement dealer.  The Adams County Court accepted Linder’s request for a Preliminary Hearing which was set for October 27, 2022 at 10:30am in County Court.

   Linder was previously arrested by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal Agency in connection with the case.   The Fire Marshal Agency determined the fire to be a crime of arson.  Linder was an  employee of Landmark Implement.   Fire damages are estimated at around $6 Million dollars.
