This year, Gurley, Nebraska, farmer Roland Rushman said he is seeing low yield numbers with his pea and wheat crops.

Due to frost and hail, Rushman said only 75% of his dry edible pea crop was salvageable to harvest for seed.

Comparing this year’s yields to prior years, he said the wheat will be down about 20% from last year.
