(AUDIO) Wisner City Council takes action on Utility Disconnects, approves recommendation for swimming pool at meeting

The Wisner City Council took action to handle utility disconnects on a case-by-case basis during COVID-19 at Monday night’s meeting held by video conference. Mayor Chad Dixon.

Dixon says one thing being considered is charging $50 for every time a city employee visits someone’s home after three visits.

The council also approved the Swimming Pool Committee’s recommendation to open up the pool on time for the 2020 season. Council Member Cathy Gobar shared the status of a few other area pools at the meeting.

Gobar says the goal is to have the Wisner Pool open this summer, and possibly stay open later, especially on the weekends up until like Labor Day Weekend after school has started.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, City-Wide Cleanup week from April 25th to May 2nd was approved.

The Council will meet in regular session on Monday, May 4th.
