Chad Moyer traveled to Pierce county to get an update from organic farmer Aaron Zimmerman.

Several weeks ago, field peas were harvested, but much of the yield was left on the ground because of wind and heavy rain.

Since then, he’s been following an experiment using rye to suppress weeds in soybeans. Zimmerman says he’s very satisfied with how the soybeans have taken off and canopied out.
