The York Dukes advance to their 43rd appearance in the state tournament after winning the B-7 district title over McCook 66-54.

The Dukes started off sizzling hot from behind the arc, senior Barrett Olsen who finished with a game high 27 points popped off early, hitting three early three’s as the Dukes took a 23-12 lead after the first quarter.

The second quarter was much the same but Even Humphrey who finished with five 3’s and a team high 21 points started chipping away at the Duke lead cutting it to a 36-26 score with the Dukes in the lead at the halftime break.

The Bison continued to claw their way back in the third quarter, cutting the lead to five as the full house rose to their feet for what was a memorable fourth quarter.
