Nebraska head coach Scott Frost received some good news on Friday as Texas quarterback Casey Thompson announced on social media that he will be transferring to Nebraska. Thompson visited the Lincoln campus on Wednesday before making the call. Thompson has been around, he will be entering his fifth year of college football and is 23 years old. This past fall he started 10 games after being the backup to Sam Ehlinger for much of his career. Thompson threw for 2,113 yards and led the Big 12 in touchdowns with 24 while completing 63 percent of his throws along with nine picks. Thompson is the son of former Oklahoma great Charles Thompson.
