Cozad, Neb. — Cozad Elementary had a fire sprinkler line freeze in the southwest entry Sunday evening. A statement says local agencies and the Nebraska Fire Marshal were contacted and it was determined that it was safe for school to resume Monday.

Parents were urged to take extra precautions as their children entered the building.

The statement said parents could use the circle drive to drop off their children. Clean up efforts at the elementary are ongoing and the school was expected to be ready for students.

Teachers were urged to use the northwest entrance to enter into the school building.

Cozad Fire & Rescue Department and Cozad PD assisted at the scene.
