BRUNING – The BDS Eagles (5-0) trailed the Blue Hill Bobcats (1-5) at the end of the first quarter. To start the second quarter, BDS back Easton Weber found the endzone, and the Eagles never looked back, scoring 44 unanswered points, and winning the contest 50-8.
Along with Webers touchdown, backs Aaron Mick and Dalton Kleinschmidt both added two touchdowns in the game. Quarterback Dominic Philippi scored the Eagles first score of the game. Backup quarterback Jaron Norder also had a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Kleinschmidt led the way in yards on the offensive side of the ball for BDS – he had 169 yards total.
Blue Hill found the endzone on their first drive of the game which was a seven-yard pass from quarterback MJ Coffey to Kolton Wademan, It would be the only touchdown of the night for the Bobcats.
Next week, BDS plays another undefeated team, Kenesaw, on the road. Blue Hill has the week off and will play Kenesaw at home on Oct. 9.
