August 12th, 2022 | Neil Watson

Lincoln, NE –Matt Mildenstein of Aurora is the sixth winner of a 2022 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4 Crew Cab Flex Fuel truck in the 27th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.

Mildenstein purchased his winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Pump & Pantry #07 at 1304 Q St. in Aurora.

Nebraska Lottery officials presented Mildenstein with his truck on Friday, August 5 at Pump & Pantry.

Mildenstein said he’d been shopping for a truck to replace his current ride for quite some time. He was looking for a used truck, but those prices were a little high, but his Truck$ & Buck$ win came at just the right time, he said.

“The newest truck I ever got had 75,000 miles on it,” he said, having just stepped out of his newly won vehicle. “This one’s only got 24 on it.”

Mildenstein said he purchased 20 Truck$ & Buck$ tickets at one time. The first one he scratched off was the truck winner, so he handed out the rest of them to people at work.

The new truck will be an upgrade from his old one, he said, but it’s definitely a familiar vehicle. His current pickup is also a Ford F-150 and there’s some family history there too.

“We’re a Ford family,” he said. “My dad drives Fords, my brother, my sister, my brother-in-law, my wife and me, we all drive Fords. This is a huge blessing.”

The 27th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s popular $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game features the 2022 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4 SuperCrew Flex Fuel truck as its top prize. Players have the opportunity to win one of eight Ford F-150 trucks as well as cash and Ethanol-enriched fuel prizes. The truck prize is valued at $58,900, which includes $1,162 for costs associated with ownership and state and federal withholding paid by the Nebraska Lottery of $2,945 and $14,136, respectively. The odds of winning the top prize in Truck$ & Buck$ are 1 in 336,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.69.
