The Phelps County Sports, Wall of Honor will induct more individuals this week as part of the Nebraska Prairie Museum’s Annual Swedish Supper. The first two inductees are Jared Karlson and Walker Hohensee who won Class B Number 1 Doubles NSAA championships in 2012 and 2013. They were 40-4 in 2012 and went 35-0 when they repeated as state champs the following year. The next two inductees are Jena (Isaacson) Mizner of Holdrege and Michele (Patterson) Kluver of Loomis. Isaacson was an all-state selection in volleyball and basketball as well as a state track qualifier for the Duster. She holds numerous records in all three sports, including career kills (630), career blocks (198), season kills (298) and season blocks (90). Isaacson went on to have a standout career playing volleyball at UNK. (Patterson) Kluver was a multi sport star at Loomis. She once scored 51 points in a basketball game and was the Kearney Hub female athlete of the year in 1991. She went on to play golf at NU, despite never playing high school golf. Kluver also competed in the 1995 US women’s Amateur. Also being honored are the Holdrege girls golf teams from 1992-1998. The Dusters won Class B State titles in 1993, 95, 97 and 1998. This year’s induction ceremony will take place on Friday night at 7pm at the Museum.
