Holdrege Police Department reports shed more light on an early Sunday morning robbery in Holdrege.   According to a police report, it started around 3:30am Sunday at a Holdrege convenience store.  A man was sitting at a table when he was approached by another man, later identified as Timothy Tuttle, who asked for gas money.  The man refused.  Tuttle then offered the man with sexual favors of a female that accompanied him in the store.  The men agreed to meet in a Holdrege parking lot.   At the scene, Tuttle reportedly struck the victim several times with a wooden object and then demanded money from the victim.   The victim gave Tuttle his billfold and Tuttle left the scene.

The victim was treated at Phelps Memorial Health Center for injuries from the assault.   Further information led to the discovery of the suspect vehicle in Holdrege.   Tuttle was later observed driving the vehicle around 9:15pm Sunday and was apprehended with assistance from the Phelps County Sheriff’s Office.  He was then lodged in the Phelps County Justice Center.

Tuttle, age 38 of Wilcox, has been charged in Phelps County Court with Robbery, Second Degree Assault, Use of a Weapon to  Commit a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance and being a Habitual Criminal.  His bond is set at 10% of $200,000.  His arraignment is set for September 20, 2021 at 10:00am.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect in the case.  Twenty-four-year-old Jonathan C. Dobish is wanted on charges of Aiding and Abetting a Robbery and Aiding and Abetting a Second Degree Assault.  A police report indicates Dobish accompanied Tuttle in the convenience store and transported Tuttle to and from the scene of the alleged assault and robbery.  A female involved in the case has not been formally charged.
