McCOOK – Area teams were in action on Thursday at the McCook Track and Field Invite. Schools in action were Holdrege, McCook, Lexington, Cambridge, Southern Valley, Hays, and Colby. Full results for varsity and junior varsity are available at the bottom of the page.
NOTABLE BOYS RESULTS:
Jacob Gomez-Wilson was 3rd in the 100 meter dash, also placed 3rd in the 200.
Nate Reiners and Cole Thomas were 4th and 5th in the 200 as well.
Brandon Tucker finished 2nd in the 400 meter dash. Thomas was 4th.
Weston Walgren won the 800 meter run.
Alec Langan won the 300 meter hurdles.
Mark Arp would finish runner-up in the high jump.
Branson McDonald won the Pole Vault, as teammates Talyn Campbell finished 2nd and Hayden Norgaard was 7th.
Adam Dugger won triple jump.
Torrington Ford won the shot put, while Isaiah Stoddard and Dylan Paschall placed 2nd and 3rd in the discus.
In relays, the 4×100 meter relay was 2nd, 4×400 meter relay won, and the 4×800 meter relay finished 3rd.
Overall, McCook won their invite scoring 146.5 points.
Hunter Stewart and Quentin Moss finished 5th and 6th in the 100 meter dash.
Moss would place 2nd in the 200 meter dash as well.
Landon Bowen placed 3rd in the 400 meter dash.
Rene Corado finished 3rd in the 800 meter run.
Oscar Aguado, Kevin Parada, and Elmer Sotelo finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively in the 1600 meter run.
Lazaro Adame-Lopez won the 3200 meter run.
Jase Carpenter was 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles.
Isaac Sharff finished 6th in shot put.
In relays, the 4×100 meter relay finished 4th overall and the 4×400 meter relay was 3rd.
Overall, the Lexington Boys finished with 85.50 points, good for 3rd as a team.
Jacob Drain was 4th in the 100 meter dash.
Jaydan Janssen finished 8th in the 200 meter dash.
Bryant Fulmer was runner-up in the 800 meter run.
Justin Golus won the 1600 meter run.
Brady VanBoening was 2nd in the 3200 meter run.
Harrison Skiles finished 5th in the 300 meter hurdles.
Jaren Moore and Zac Sundquist finished in 4th and 5th place respectively in the pole vault.
Max Hunter finished 7th in discus.
In relays, the 4×100 meter relay placed 3rd, the 4×400 meter relay was 5th.
Holdrege overall earned 60 points and finished 4th.
Clayton Berry was 2nd in the 100 meter dash.
Carter Bose finished 4th in the 800 meter run.
Berry would win the 100 meter hurdles.
Berry would place 3rd in the long jump and 3rd in triple jump.
Overall, Southern Valley earned 34 points and finished 6th overall.

Isabella Renner and Leah Spencer placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the 800 meter run.
Samantha Rodewald was 2nd in the 1600 meter run.
Emma Dutton won the 100 meter hurdles, as she was 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles.
Hannah Crow was 2nd in the pole vault.
Wilkinson and Xyzanthia Bair finished 4th and 5th in the long jump.
Sierra Kotschwar won the shot put and discus, while teammate Brittni Kinne was 2nd in the shot.
Lainey Schmidt was 4th in the discus.
In relays, McCook’s 4×100 meter relay finished 5th, the 4×400 meter relay won, as did the 4×800 meter relay.
Overall, McCook swept their invite in an overall win with 136 points.
Alexis Bliven Won the 100 meter dash and was 2nd in the 200 and runner-up in the long jump as well.
Chaylyn McGowan tailed Bliven in the 200.
Megan Belgum was 4th in the 800.
Lacy Biltoft was 3rd in the 1600 meters.
Avery Hurlbert captured 4th in the 400.

Cordelia Harbison was 3rd in the pole vault.
Mia Rowe finished 3rd in the Long Jump and 2nd in triple jump.
McKinna Moats was 3rd in the shot put, while Karly Huerta was 2nd in discus.
In relays, the girls 4×100 meter relay was 2nd, and the 4×400 meter relay was 3rd.
Overall, the Lexington Girls were 4th with 89.50 points scored.

Quinn would also win the 800 meter run.
