HOLDREGE – At the Holdrege Public Schools School Board meeting on Monday, April 19, the board voted in majority favor of removing mask requirements at all Holdrege schools.
In a 4-2 vote, the school board voted to not require students and staff to wear a mask for the remainder of the school year. Masks will still be allowed, but are no longer required.
Holdrege Public Schools Superintendent Todd Hilyard adds that while the use of masks has been a highly debated topic, students and staff are still expected to respect the individual decisions in either to continue wearing a face covering or not:
