Huskers to compete in NCAA Championships this week

The Nebraska Track and Field men’s and women’s teams will be in Austin, TX Wednesday through Saturday for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The Huskers are competing in 20 total events, their most since 2014. Both teams are currently in the top 10 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This is the first time in program history that both are in the top 10 at the same time. The 6th ranked men and have 12 entries, and the 9th ranked women have eight.

Competition begins for Nebraska at 2:30 pm on Wendesday with the decathlon. Each event will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Nebraska’s NCAA Qualifiers:

Women:

  • Maddie Harris – Javelin
  • Axelina Johansson – Shot Put
  • Taylor Latimer – Shot Put
  • Rhema Otabor – Javelin
  • Rhianna Phipps – Triple Jump
  • Jenna Rogers – High Jump
  • Velecia Williams – Long Jump
  • Madison Yerigan – High Jump

Men:

  • Michael Hoffer – High Jump
  • Darius Luff – 110m Hurdles
  • Maxwell Otterdahl – Discus, Shot Put
  • Arthur Petersen – Javelin
  • Dash Sirmon – Javelin
  • Till Steinforth – Decathlon, Long Jump
  • Jonah Wilson – Discus, Shot Put
  • Tyus Wilson – High Jump
  • Brithton Senior, Kavian Kerr, Lorenzo Paissan, Garrett Kaalund – 4X100m Relay
