The 2022 season has come to an end for the Holdrege Farm Bureau Juniors and First State Bank Seniors. Farm Bureau finished the year with a 23-5 record, a Mid-Nebraska Junior League Championship, and a B6 Area Tournament Runner-up placing. After starting the year 11-0, it was clear this would be a special season. The Juniors were only one win away from qualifying for the state tournament.

The First State Bank Seniors were also able to enjoy some success. Finishing 9-14 this season, they saw a three-game improvement over 2021. They finished 6-17 that year. Among those nine wins were two very high quality victories over state qualifiers Ogallala and Minden. The notable improvements offensively and defensively, along with a wealth of talent at the Junior level, has Holdrege looking forward to the future with enthusiasm.

Farm Bureau head coach Cory Steinke and First State Bank head coach Mike Waller spoke with KUVR about the 2022 season. The interview can be found here.
