Holdrege-On Saturday, October 8th the Holdrege FFA Chapter will be providing harvest meals for local harvest crews. FFA Members will be delivering meals to be picked up at several local grain terminals in Phelps County. Terminals where meals will be delivered include: CHS Agriservice in Loomis, CPI in Funk, Cargill in Holdrege and Atlanta, and Scoular Grain in Holdrege. Meals for local harvest crews will include sandwiches, fruit, cookies, chips, and a drink. These free meals will be distributed starting at 11:30 am and will be available until they are gone.

Local harvest crews can request a set number of meals to be picked up or delivered by FFA Chapter members to fields if they contact an FFA Member or Jeff Moore at Holdrege High School.  This year Holdrege Chapter members and sponsors plan to prepare 200 meals for distribution. In the event that weather is an issue, the event will be postponed to October 15th. Harvest Meals is a project carried out by the Holdrege FFA Chapter to give back and show appreciation to the local ag producers and harvest helpers in the Holdrege area.
