Hall County deputy registrars will be hosting a voter registration event this weekend at the Grand Island Public Library. The deputy registrars will be taking voter registrations from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 25 in the library foyer.
The qualifications to be a registered voter are to be a United States citizen and be age 18 by November 8, 2022.
“This is a great time for Hall County voters to update their records prior to the November 8 General Election – or for first-time voters to get registered,” said Hall County Election Commissioner Tracy Overstreet. “Voters who have had a name change, an address change or who want to change their party affiliation need to update their voter registration information and can do so Sunday afternoon.”
Voters may also go online to register or update their information by using their Nebraska driver’s license or state ID number. The online voter registration link can be found on the Hall County website at hallcountyne.gov under the Election Commission tab. The last day for voters to register or change information online is October 21 in order to be registered for the November 8 General Election.
The last day for voters to make in-person voter registration updates is October 28 when the Hall County Election Office will remain open until 6 p.m. at 121 S. Pine St.
Hall County has 34,033 active registered voters. As of September 1, there were 17,574 Republicans, 8,357 Democratic, 447 Libertarians, 97 Legal Marijuana NOW members and 7,558 Nonpartisan voters.
