GOTHENBURG – The Dutch Zorn invite took place on Thursday with area teams competing. Competition times were moved up due to the impending weather forecast.

Aurora, Sidney, and McCook were the top three teams in the Boys team results. McCook won the girls side, followed by Sidney and Ogallala. Full results can be found at the bottom of the page.

Individual standouts for area teams include:

GIRLS:
Cozad:
Brittney Aitken won the the 100 meter dash while teammate Makaia Baker was 2nd.
Aiken would also win the 200 meter dash.
Baker finished 2nd in the 400 meter dash; Karyn Burkholder was 6th.
Mallory Applegate was 4th in the 1600 meter run.
The 4×800 meter relay finished 3rd.
The 200-200-400-800 meter relay won, as Aitken, Baker, Burkholder, and Applegate anchored the team.
As a team, the Haymakers finished 4th.

Gothenburg:
Bella Rickertson and Kynlee Strauser finished 4th and 5th in the 100 meter dash respectively.
Aubrey O’Hare was 6th in the 100 meter hurdles; O’Hare would win the 300 meter hurdles.
The 4×100 meter relay was 2nd, 4×400 meter relay finished 5th, and the 4×800 meter relay was 4th.
Annica Harm was 5th in the shot put, while Madison Smith was 2nd in the discus.
Chiara Richeson was 5th in pole vault while teammates Ashlyn Richeson and Sophia Aden were 7th and 8th.
Ava Weyers finished 6th in long jump.
As a team, Gothenburg finished 5th.

Holdrege:
Alexis Bliven was 2nd in the 200 meter dash while also finishing 2nd in the long jump.
Megan Belgum was 5th in the 400 meter dash.
Avery Hurlbert finished 4th in the 800 meter run; teammate Loran Weides was 7th.
The 4×100 meter relay was 5th, the 4×400 meter relay was 2nd, and the 200-200-400-800 relay was 4th.
Ella Jacobson was 10th in the shot put and 5th in the discus.
Bradie Medina was runner-up in pole vault.
McCartney Eliot was 6th in the triple jump.
As a team, the Dusters finished 5th.

Lexington:
Mia Rowe was 8th in the 100 meter dash.
Kalli Sutton finished 6th in the 800 meter run.
Kennadi Ureste was 3rd in the 3200 meter run.
Sarah Treffer finished 3rd in the 100 meter hurdles
Jackie Ostrom was 5th in the 300 meter hurdles.
Karly Huerta was 6th in the shot put; McKinna Moats was 7th.
Moats was 6th in discus; Huerta was 7th.
Rachael Kearney was runner-up in high jump.
Cordelia Harbison was 6th in the pole vault.
Rowe was 4th in the Triple jump.
Lexington finished 9th overall.

BOYS:
Lexington:
Hunter Stewart was 3rd in the 100 meter dash.
Quentin Moss was 7th in the 200 meter dash.
Landon Bowen finished 5th in the 400 meter dash.
Oscar Aguado was 5th in the 800 meter run.
Elmer Sotelo and Kevin Parada were 2nd and 3rd in the 1600 meter run.
Parada was 2nd in the 3200 meter run, while Miguel Cruz-Mendoza was 5th.
Jase Carpenter was 3rd in the 110 meter hurdles and in the 300 meter hurdles.
The 4×800 meter relay finished 3rd. as well as the 200-200-400-800 relay.
Isaac Scharff was 8th in the shot put.
Stewart was 6th in the long jump.
Greyson Strauss finished 2nd in the triple jump.
The Minutemen finished 4th overall.

Gothenburg:
Wes Geiken was 2nd in the 200 meter dash.
William Anderson was 2nd in the 800 meter run.
Parker Graves was 5th in the 1600 meter run.
Ethan Olsen and Graves were 3rd and 4th in the 3200 meter run.
In the 200-200-400-800 relay, Gothenburg finished 2nd.
Jake Burge was 4th in the pole vault, while Tra Rossell was 6th.
James Brian was 4th in the long jump.
Gothenburg finished 5th.

Holdrege:
Jacob Drain was 5th in the 100 meter dash.
Bryant Fulmer was 3rd in the 800 meter run.
Nikolas Clement was 4th in the 1600 meter run; Justin Golus was 6th.
The 4×100 meter relay was 5th, the 4×400 relay was 4th, and the 200-200-400-800 relay was 5th.
Max Hunter was 7th in shot put and 8th in the discus.
Dylan Haag finished 3rd in triple jump and 8th in long jump.
The Dusters finished 6th overall.

Cozad:
Brayden Wilkinson was 4th in the 200 meter dash.
Aidyn Garretson was 7th in the Discus.
Jake Lindstedt was 5th in the pole vault.
The Haymakers finished 8th overall.
