The West Point City Council met for their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night. City Administrator Tom Goulette commented on the review of the Army Corps of Engineers levee repair project.

Goulette says the levee repairs starting this month will be wrapped up by March.

Also at the meeting the Council approved the purchase of an equipment truck for the West Point Volunteer Fire Department.

Goulette says this joint purchase between the Rural Fire Board and City of West Point is right at $180,000.

Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, Goulette said another flushing of the water system will start on Monday.
