SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sadie Limback and Claire Mountjoy were tabbed the Summit League TicketSmarter Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. This marks Limback’s second weekly honor and Mountjoy’s first of the season.
This marks the first time in the division I era that the Mavericks have swept the weekly awards.
Limback hit 4.31 over two matches finishing with 34 kills and 4.25 kills per set average. She led the Mavericks with 19 in their win vs. Weber State, while adding 15 vs. Kansas State. It marked her seventh match this season with double-figure kills. Limback added nine digs and 10 blocks over the weekend.
Following her historic week taking over the record book, Mountjoy recorded and surpassed 2,000 career digs. She totaled 32 vs. Weber State and added another 16 digs vs. K-State. Mountjoy has recorded double-figure digs in each match this season and is averaging a league leading 5.03 digs per set.
Limback, Mountjoy, and their fellow Mavericks open Summit League play this week hosting St. Thomas on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.
