UNL research team tackling wheat stem sawfly issue

UNL researchers from the Panhandle to Lincoln are beginning a new project in studying the wheat stem sawfly and its detrimental impact on hard red winter wheat.

The insect weakens the stem of the wheat causing lodging during harvest resulting in yield loss.
