Norfolk Men’s Chorus Returns

Norfolk Men’s Chorus Returns
The Norfolk Men’s Chorus Christmas Program from December, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Norfolk.
January 18th, 2022 | John Skogstoe

The Norfolk Men ‘s Chorus is singing for fun once again. Rehearsals for the spring show will begin Thursday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church basement at 406 W. Phillip Ave. in Norfolk.

The chorus is inviting and encouraging men who love to sing from all over northeast Nebraska to come and join them for a spring show centered around celebrating music. The show will be presented at the Lifelong Learning Center at Northeast Community College in late April. One of the important changes made during this “reboot” was to move up rehearsals to an earlier time to make it easier for members to return home at a more reasonable hour. Practice sessions will be done around 8:15. The chorus has had members from many surrounding towns and would love to become a more regional group. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in learning more send an email to norfolkmenschorus@gmail.com so the chorus can keep in touch.

After two years away due to the pandemic, the chorus presented a Christmas concert at the Methodist Church in December.

Dr. Linda Bouillion, retired vocal music professor at Northeast Community College, is the new director and Jolene Ziebell, Madison, NE is the accompanist.
