SPRINGFIELD, MO (November 18, 2021) — The Nebraska State Fair received several honors at the 2021 International Association of Fairs and Expositions Virtual Awards show. Awards varied across several disciplines including Communications, Competitive Exhibits, Agriculture, Sponsorships, and Non-Fair Facility Usage.


Competing against Fairs and Expositions from across the world, the Nebraska State Fair received ten placings including a First Place Award for the Blue Ribbon Kickoff Great Steak Debate hosted by the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation and a Second Place Award for Sponsor Exposure. “We are excited to see all of our hard work during the 2021 Nebraska State Fair be recognized at the international level and learn from those who placed highly as well,” said Bill Ogg, Executive Director.

Members of the Nebraska State Fair will attend the International Association of Fairs and Expositions Convention November 28 th – December 1 st where they will learn of and pick up on new ideas to bring to the 2022 Nebraska State Fair.

The International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE), based in Springfield, Mo., is a voluntary, nonprofit corporation, serving state, provincial, regional, and county agricultural fairs, shows, exhibitions, and expositions. Its associate members include state and provincial associations of fairs, non-agricultural expositions and festivals, associations, corporations, and individuals engaged in providing products and services to its members, all of whom are
interested in the improvement of fairs, shows, expositions, and allied fields.
