Huskers Win First Match In Brazil

The Huskers defeated the Minas Tênis Clube U19 team 25-8, 25-12, 25-13. Bekka Allick had 11 kills, three blocks and three aces to lead the Big Red in their first match in Brazil. Lindsay Krause had 10 kills and two blocks, and Caroline Jurevicius had seven kills and three blocks. Hayden Kubik also posted seven kills. Andi Jackson had five kills in the third set.  Kennedi Orr played the whole match at setter for the Huskers, who will play a variety of different lineups throughout the trip.  The Huskers are back in action on Friday at 2:30 p.m. (CT) against Mackenzie.
