A new report is highlighting the economic benefits that the world’s largest fully irrigated working farm show brings to the region.

According to a news release, Husker Harvest Days, held annually in Grand Island, brings in nearly $9 million in total economic impact.

With 500 exhibitors and 100,000 attendees, the three-day show showcases the latest equipment, supplies, and technologies for farmers and ranchers.

Visitors to Grand Island stay for an extended period, supporting local businesses and generating revenue.

The average nightly hotel spend exceeds $100, while daily expenditures on food and transportation reach over $60.

The event’s positive influence extends beyond the business sector, benefiting schools and educational programs. Students and volunteers operate food stands at the show, with profits reinvested in their own educational and extracurricular initiatives.

The 2023 Husker Harvest Days will take place in Grand Island from September 12 to 14. For more information, visit HuskerHarvestDays.com.
