Hawk women suffer road loss on Saturday in Kansas

CONCORDIA, Kan. – The Northeast Community College women’s basketball team couldn’t hold off Cloud County Community College in the second half of a nonconference match up on Saturday, falling 78-48 in Concordia, Kan. 

The Hawks (3-6) managed to hold Cloud to only six points in the second quarter and trailed by 10 points heading into halftime. Coming out of the break, Cloud went right to work and outscored the Hawks, 55-25. 

Autumn Dickmander (Brule, Neb.) tallied 14 points, while Alexis Bliven (Holdrege, Neb.) added 13 points, six rebounds and four steals. 

The Hawks welcome North Platte Community College for a 5 p.m. contest on Tuesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
