OMAHA, Neb. — The Creighton women’s basketball team never trailed in a lopsided 83-60 win over Seton Hall on Friday, Jan. 14, at D.J. Sokol Arena.

The win improved the Bluejays to 11-4 (6-1 BIG EAST) while dropping the visiting Pirates to 6-7 (1-4 BIG EAST).

Creighton ended the first quarter on a 16-2 run to claim a 26-12 edge, as the Bluejays shot 12-of-15 from the field.

Emma Ronsiek made 8-of-11 shots in the first half and had 19 points in 14 minutes at the break as the Bluejays bolted to a 49-34 advantage.

The lead stretched to 70-44 after three quarters as Lauren Jensen buried three trifectas in the frame. Seton Hall got no closer than 20 points in the final quarter.

Ronsiek finished 12-of-16 from the field and scored a season-best 27 points in just 24 minutes of playing time to pace Creighton. Also in double-figures were Jensen (14), Payton Brotzki (12) and Molly Mogensen (10). The Bluejays dished a season-high 28 assists on 35 field goals, with Tatum Rembao dishing 11 helpers.

The Bluejays are back in action on Sunday when they host St. John’s (5-9, 1-3 BIG EAST) at 1 p.m. in Omaha.
