Bringing in the corn harvest for a friend

The corn harvest season for the Russell family ended Saturday, Nov. 13, with friends and family coming together to bring in the harvest. Farmer and Minatare native Scott Russell passed away on Oct. 29, from complications after surgery. While much of the crops had been harvested, Scott’s 130 acres of corn were still in the fields.

Spearheading the event was Randy and Wendy Huck along with combine crews: Jeff Kilthau, Bryan Kilthau, Brent Kilthau, Brad Manke, Landon Rbelsky, and Kyle Gibson; Brock Henkel, Jeff Kizzire, Coulter Raffalt, and Chance White; Ashley Adams, Kathy Propp, Corey Adams, and Stan Propp; Aaron Kreman, Justin Kreman, John Kreman, and Kelly Stricker

Among his friends were also businesses, 21st Century, Panhandle Coop, and Winter Circle Feedlot.
