TEKAMAH – Arlington swept both games of a Legion Baseball Doubleheader at Tekamah-Herman Monday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull, winning the Juniors Game 13-1 in 6 innings and the Seniors Game 4-0.
In the Juniors Game, Arlington scored 6 runs in the 1st inning and added 5 more in the 6th to run away with the win.
Weston Wollberg went 3-5 with an RBI and a run scored for Arlington while Braden Monke was 2-5 with an RBI and 3 runs scored.
Spencer Pagels drove in Tekamah-Herman’s only run of the game with an RBI Triple in the 3rd inning.
Tyler Ott picked up the win on the mound for Arlington, giving up 1 run on 3 hits in a complete game effort.
Riley Brodersen took the loss for Tekamah-Herman, giving up 7 runs on 7 hits in 3 innings of work.
In the Seniors Game, an errant throw to 1st base by Tekamah-Herman Catcher Dawson Schram after fielding a ground ball when the bases were loaded with two outs a 1-0 game in the 4th inning was the difference as Arlington scored 3 runs on the play en route to the win.
Braden Rump was nearly unhittable on the mound for Arlington as he pitched 7 innings of shutout ball while giving up just 2 hits.
Gunnar Ray suffered the loss for Tekamah-Herman, giving up 4 total and 2 earned runs while surrendering 5 hits in a complete game effort.
Tekamah-Herman hosts Pender Tuesday night in Juniors and Seniors Action.
