Loraine L. Sachs, 80, of Bancroft, NE, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, NE. The funeral service for Loraine will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft, NE; Pastor Nathan Henschen will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery.
Loraine was born in Rosalie, NE on November 2, 1940, the daughter of Frederick and Lillie (Tichota) Siebrandt. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1959. On September 25, 1964, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Sachs. To this union two children were born, John and Linda. She worked for over twenty years at Wimmers Meat Processors in West Point, NE, until she retired. She was a long time member of the Bancroft Fire Department, and the Bancroft Saddle Club. Loraine loved to Crochet baby blankets and afghans, loved cardinals, horses, collecting recipes, and country and gospel music. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, John (Nicole) Sachs of Bancroft, NE; daughter, Linda Daniel of Lincoln, NE; three grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob Zuhlke and Jarrett Daniel; Step-sons, Tom, Vic and Scott Sachs; step-daughter, Kim Sachs and their children and grandchildren. Loraine is also survived by her brothers, Marvin (Bernice) Siebrandt of Bancroft, NE, Vernon (Donna) Siebrandt of Bancroft, NE, Frederick Siebrandt of Lincoln, NE; sisters-in-law, Sharon Siebrandt of Lincoln, NE and Martha Sherman of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.
Loraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth; brothers, Richard, Virgil and Dale Siebrandt; sister, Eileen Tunink; brother-in-law, Al Tunink; sisters-in-law, Alice and Charlene Siebrandt and a granddaughter Amanda Sachs.
