Jane (Mrs. Edward) Fischer, age 97 of Wisner, NE passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Wisner Care Center.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Jane will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Interment will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church, with the Rosary recited at 10:00 a.m. The Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Jane Fischer was born on November 12, 1925 in Tapachula, Chiopas, Mexico to Jorge and Magdalena (Lozano) White. She grew up in Pueblo, Mexico. Jane obtained her GED in the United States.
On August 1, 1966 she was united in marriage to Edward Fischer in Denver, CO. Jane worked as a lab technician in a Denver Hospital for many years. She later attended beauty school and worked as a beautician out of her home for many years.
Jane was very active in her church in Denver and later in Nebraska City, NE before the couple moved to Wisner. Jane was a very good cook and loved to entertain.
She is survived by her husband-Edward of Wisner and several nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and 3 sisters.
