Alysia K. Dvorak, age 70, of Scribner, Nebraska passed away Friday June 11, 2021 at Methodist Fremont Health surrounded by her family. The Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday with the family present from 5-7 p.m. also at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. A wake service will be held at 7pm at the church. Alysia was born December 5, 1950 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Raymond and Helen ‘Bauer’ Skalicky. She was raised in the Venus area near Verdigre. She attended Sukup School and graduated from Creighton High School in 1968. She married Richard Dvorak on August 22, 1970 in Verdigre. The couple lived in Verdigre, then Pender, before moving to rural Hooper, when she worked at the Hooper Care Center for 13 years. They left rural life behind after 21 years and settled into their current home in Scribner in 2002.
In retirement, she enjoyed traveling around Nebraska camping with her husband and her dog Charlie. She also loved spending Saturdays going to garage sales, being outdoors and watching Husker football. Most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
