A woman who served a prison term in connection with a Dawson County triple-fatality accident returned to Dawson County District Court. Angelique Kampmann was sentenced to a total of 5 years imprisonment in the 2018 deaths of Ziera Nickerson, Donald Anderson and Karli Michael. Kampmann was driving a vehicle on a rural road when it went through a stop sign at Highway 30 near Overton around 2:00am and was struck by another vehicle traveling on Highway 30. With credit for 191 days under the state’s good time law, Kampmann was released from prison on December 4, 2022 to Post Release Supervion for two years.
On July 5, 2023, a vehicle Kampmann was driving was stopped in Platte County and she was issued a citation. She’s been charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Speeding in Platte County Court. That case then triggered a motion in Dawson County District Court by the Probation Office for violation of the terms of her post release supervision.
Kampmann appeared in Dawson County District Court Friday before District Judge Mark Young for arraignment. Kampmann entered a denial of the alleged violation of her post supervision release. The case was continued to January 5, 2024 at 11:00am while her Platte County case is adjudicated. The next hearing in the Platte County case is set for October 25, 2023 at 2:30pm
