Two Overton men face felony charges following a search of their residence last week.  Fifty-four-year-old Michael Cinocco and 41-year-old Christopher Schadegg have each been charged in Dawson County Court with Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and Possession of Methamphetamine.   Both are being held on 10% of $250,000 bond.  Their next hearings are set for May 13, 2021 at 8:45am.

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office received information through the Nebraska State Patrol Crimestoppers that the men could be in possession of firearms and controlled substances.  The Sheriff’s Office along with District #11 Probation Office executed a search of the residence at 602 9th Street in Overton on April 28th.

The search turned up a fully loaded 9mm handgun, an unloaded collapsible 9mm AR platform rifle, several containers of 9mm ammunition, multiple firearm components, drug paraphernalia and several types of pills.   The handgun was later determined to have been stolen out of Denver, CO.

Both men were convicted felons.   Cinocco was serving a sentence of probation from Colorado for Possession of a Controlled Substance.   It was unclear what Schadegg’s conviction was for or where it occurred but, court records indicate he previously lived in Colorado as well.
