Dawson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a protection order violation and threats Saturday afternoon. A woman advised she encountered a man whom she had an active protection order against. At one point the subject allegedly threatened her with a knife while driving at a high rate of speed on a gravel road. The suspect 40-year-old James Green, Jr was taken into custody by Lexington Police Department.
Green was arraigned Monday in Dawson County Court on charges of Terroristic Threats, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, Domestic Assault, Protection Order Violation and Willful Reckless Driving.
Green was appointed an attorney. His bond was set at 10% of $500,000 and his next hearing set on December 8, 2022 at 11:30am.
