On September 26th around 12:30 PM, Rodrigo Figueroa, a 19 year old out of Santa Barbra, California, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and no drug tax stamp. Figueroa was pulled over headed eastbound in Seward Country for two separate traffic infractions. The Seward County Criminal Interdiction Task Force noticed a suspicion of criminal activity, and brought a second deputy with a narcotics detection K9. The K9 sniffed and resulted a positive alert to indicate there was a presence of narcotics odor. The task force then was able to conduct a subsequent probable cause search and it resulted in the seizure of 8.5 pounds of cocaine. Figueroa has been lodged in the Seward County Detention Center pending further court action. The estimated street value is approximately $100,000
