Ricketts introduces resolution designating May as Renewable Fuels Month

In a united effort to promote the benefits of biofuels, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) spearheaded the introduction of a bipartisan resolution. The resolution aims to officially designate May 2023 as Renewable Fuels Month in America.

Senator Rickettsn highlighted the numerous advantages offered by ethanol and biodiesel. He emphasized their positive impact on Nebraska and the entire nation.

By recognizing the crucial role played by renewable fuels, the resolution seeks to achieve multiple goals such as reducing fuel prices for consumers, mitigating carbon emissions, supporting rural communities, and decreasing dependence on foreign adversaries.

The bill garnered backing from additional co-sponsors, including U.S. Senators Deb Fischer (R-NE), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Mike Rounds (R-SD), and John Thune (R-SD).
